One for the Psychologist?

Try this on for size:

"It's not what you don't know that you miss; it's the friends that are being found."

Does this sound pretty bizarre? If the answer is yes, I won't be surprised -- it's bizarre to me as well. I had a dream last night where tornadoes were the central imagery, but rather than past tornado dreams where I spend all of my time running and hiding, in this dream I was armed with a camera and was intentionally trying to find and photograph them. Just before I woke up, I was walking into the door of a white building, and I heard a voice say that line above. For some reason, it has stuck; I've had dreams for years where I can't remember a single thing about them, but this line stuck.

I haven't a clue what it means, or whether it means anything at all (I'm horrid with dream interpretation). So if you have any thoughts or ideas on this quote, feel free to share them; I'm still trying to figure it out.....

Tornados, or any storm, are indicative of emotional upheavals...good or bad depending upon the way you feel about the storm. You obviously are embracing this "storm" because you want to jump right in there and record the whole thing (like your 365 blog). You went into the door (self-discovery) of a white (truth and purity) building(source of energy--particularly if it was a large building means you have great opportunities, potential and a big destiny to fulfill!!).
Friends usually have the projected qualities that we possess...that we might not even recognize in ourselves, that we might be "missing."
Does this make any sense to you? You're the star of your own dream. My thoughts? God has some really big plans for you in this time of job search, and the arrival of a new life! I think since that line stuck with you, He's telling you that you need to recognize the potential and qualities that you possess that will move you to an awesome future. But, that's just my take. Go, Matt!

aghhh...this resonated in MY head all night. Thanks!
"It's not what you DON'T KNOW that you MISS...it's the FRIENDS that are being found."

In other words...(and what a powerful sentence He gave you!!)...you're not missing anything that you don't ALREADY know! Just don't miss all the good stuff in yourself and life that are being DISCOVERED NOW....those things that you knew deep down you already possessed!
Are you considering a serious move into politics? Just askin'.
Sorry to blog on your blog....

Karen: Thanks for your comments; you've given me a lot to think about (and apparently, I've given you a lot to think about it -- apologies for keeping you up at night;-) I really like your interpretation of the imagery in the dream, and the idea of projected qualities that we see in others.

I've never been too adept at identifying my strengths, which has actually been one of the most rewarding aspects of my current job hunt. I'm having to think more about things like that, and identify the strengths/talents that I can bring to a new employer The idea of walking into a new building to uncover that potential is a nice one.

Thanks for the input -- and don't let my psychological exploration keep you up at night. And PLEASE don't worry about blogging on the blog.

I slept...no worries...but the sentence stuck! That's pretty cool.
